OUR PHILOSPHY: “Love the Game” - The coaches of the U12 Kraze Academy are soccer players themselves and understand the importance of loving the game. They implement training and playing schedules that help keep that love going. Creativity is greatly encouraged. The coaching focus has been and will continue to be toward development. Players are taught the game correctly from the beginning, winning is not our focus. They are taught developmentally appropriate skills and encouraged to implement them in games and feel rewarded for playing the game well regardless of win or loss. One goal of the U12 Kraze Academy is in the development of not just good soccer players, but good athletes. Players are encouraged to play additional sports as well, thus building athletes. This athleticism will carry them into college and beyond if they desire. The closeness of our team has provided the players with friendships and team cohesion skills. They have learned good sportsmanship skills, to appreciate winning and to lose gracefully. They have learned respect for hard work on and off the field and take school as seriously as they take the game. Our desire to travel has exposed us to many different types of soccer and will create a more “well rounded” team to compete at a state, regional and national level.
OUR TEAM: Our coaches are not only soccer players themselves, but also educators. Their patience and positive demeanor during practices and on the sideline stands out amongst the soccer community. All of the players on our team have been playing soccer since they were 3 or 4 years old. They were all loving, the game from a young age and continue to love it today. They have become great friends and enjoy time together on and off the field. Their parents are supportive, participate in development and often have to make personal sacrifices to keep the “love of the game” going and provide life-lasting experiences for their children. From practices to traveling tournaments, they manage to work it out. They support the children in their development and learning of the game; win or lose.
